Thanks guys for your great comments! It is great to see that I'm not the only parent who feels this way.

Our kids need to become really good filters. Filter out the crap, and allow things through that will nourish them.

The only way that will happen though, is to make sure we are good filters ourselves!

Whoa – you said it. It's stomach turning how bad it's gotten. Let's all determine to change it and not let the ##)$*@)@*'s motivated only by money breakdown our society by infiltrating our kid's childhood. Let's make other products for our kids and support them. Let's turn off the TV that exploits our kids with inappropriate images of behavior, and commercials full of lies. At least watch these shows with our kids and teach them to have an analytical mind, not accepting what the marketers want to feed them. Let's talk to our kids!

I have never understood the concept of Bratz dolls….Barbie was bad enough..and girls are STILL becoming anorexic trying to look like her…

but now we have stick figure daughters that aspire to be smut queens too???
